Relaxation at last...but what's this?

WOW!!!  This week just BEAT ME UP... B-E-A-T me up! Rebekah had UCA Camp. I mean its summer and her new cheer team practices at 8:30 in the MORNING!  This week however we had to be up at about 6 am!  I had to straighten her hair and help her with her make up.  In the end...she learned how to apply her own make up...she did pretty good.  4 days of this!  She had fun.

Rebekah is one of the 3 fuzzies in the front.  She and 2 other girls were doing tumbling passes. 

Rebekah after day 3.  GO SHORTHORNS!!!  Well I cant believe my oldest is starting 6th grade!  AACCKK...my baby is growing up fast. 

Well on a more less, nerve wrecking side...we have a new tenant. However this tenant wakes up super early at starts to serenade us at 4 in the morning. Here he is:

This bird is sitting right outside my front door over the door.  Its just there, wasnt scared of me or anything.  It just sat there like it was used to being photographed.  I thought for sure with the flash it would try to fly out, but nope...it just sat there posing for me.  I dont know what kind of bird that is.  Anyone know...I live in South Texas.  I tried looking for it on the internet.  Here is a better close up, I think

well, I am EXHAUSTED!!!  Im falling asleep as I type..so please forgive me if I have spelling errors.  Just thought Id let you know...IM SLEEPING IN TOMORROW MORNING...SO BIRDY...NO SINGING!!!

The Mystery continues.....

Ok...so Erykah does not have diabetes.  WHEW!!! RIGHT???  Nope.  Her tests came back showing that her thyroid levels are higher than normal.  The range is, like lets say 214-325. That means that when you get your blood work done, you hormone levels the numbers should be in between those numbers.  Well Erykahs came out to like 329.5689999 something like that.  So her thyroid is out of whack....however her pituitary gland, controls the thyroid, is fine.  So there are one of two things...she has a tumor on her pit or she has a tumor on her thyroid.  Everything else is fine so that so that is my conclusion. 

Now to a more less SERIOUS matter.  MY VAN IS GOING OUT OF WHACK TOO!!!!  AAARRGGGHHH my life has not Harmony right now...my CHI..is not in line!  So I see this Excursion for sale but I need 12,500!!!!  So I'm going to sell my van to the highest bidder.  I'm not one of those type of people who like to bother with taking it a vehicle here and there to get it fixed.  Its not big problems, typical, new struts, brakes and stuff.  My girls are getting bigger and older and when that happens they got on each others nerves faster!!!  So I need them to be as far apart as they can be when they are in the car with me or I turn into an evil SHE MONSTER because my girls are arguing about "SHES TOUCHING ME MOM...SHES ON TOP OF ME MOM" "NUU UUHHH  IM NOT EVEN CLOSE TO HER"  " BUT YOUR LOOKING AT ME AND I DONT WANT YOU TO....STOP LOOKING AT ME!!!  MOM SHES LOOKING AT ME"  "I DID NOTHING SHES JUST TRYING TO GET ME INTO TROUBLE" then me "STOOOOPPPPPPPP RIIIGGGHHHHTTT NOOOWWWWWW!!!!!! or Ill take you both out of cheer leading!"  "NOOOOO MOM NOOOOO!!!!  "  and then they behave...at least for the next 5-10 minutes.  Then the whole ordeal starts again with a totally new problem...I guess you take what you can 5-10 minutes of international peace.  I wonder if the Prez...has a job opening for me.  Ive very good at scolding children when they are not being nice to each other.  Yeah..I think I can do a good job on international foreign policy! "DON'T DO WHAT I TELL YOU...I WILL GRAB YOU BY YOUR EARS AND TAKE YOU TO YOUR ROOM!"  hahahahaha.  Ok, Im blabbing now...Ive got to go and just kick up my feet and relax while I watch DH work.  Im stuck with him, while my van is at the car docs shop.  Anyone have 12,500 I can borrow....hahahahahaha

Its been a while...hasn't it?

Ok so the last time I wrote was for help...for my Izzy.  Its so funny because my pet peeve are drive by viewers, and I ended up being a drive by writer.  Sorry for that...so you deserve a good explanation as to why I have not been around.

Well since Feb, my Kikster's has been sick.  She had 4 strep infections since then.  Finally she had surgery to remove those nasty buggers!  She did well, the doc came out and said that out of all of the surgeries he did that day, she won the prize for BIGGEST tonsils.  Well, its not something that we stood up and rushed to get the 'award'.  As with any child, my poor 7 yr old had a hard time swallowing, and she would NOT for the life of me take her pain reliever meds.  She just wouldn't, and she lost almost 5 lbs because she would not eat.  3 weeks later, she is making up for the lost time.  She is running around, screaming, yelling, after her sisters, but now her voice is high pitched...and squeaky.  I don't know...anyone had that problem with your child after a tonsilectomy?

Well, Rebekah tried out for her new schools cheer squad.  My Bekah, my oldest, my baby is now a 6th grader.  THATS RIGHT!!!! She's starting middle school.  Man it is just going way to fast for me.  I mean I remember bringing her from the hospital when she was born, taking her to her first day of school as a kinder kid!  Now she's starting MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!  The teen years are upon me...BATTEN DOWN THE LATCHES PEOPLE!!!  Ok...enough of my drama.  Did she make the cheer squad, you ask?  Well, there were over 40 girls from 4 elementary schools and girls who were going to 7th who now wanted to try out.  There were officially about 6 spots to fill, because the vets got the other spots of course.

  YES...YES...SHE GOT ONE OF THE SPOTS!!!  That's another reason why I havn't gotten anything done, because not only is she a cheerleader for her middle school, she is also a cheerleader for a company.  So in and out of one practice and in and out of the other.  Also Erykah is a cheerleader for the same company. 

More medical news....My E.J. is being tested for diabetes.  I know sad.  I am worried and yes I've been crying, I have a feeling that she DOES have it because I've tested her with my machine.  They are not HIGH HIGH, but they are up there.  All that jumping and running around and she has diabetes...well MIGHT have diabetes.  Shes been sad too.  We are trying to make lemon-aide out of the lemons life threw our way.  Well, we will find out on Monday and Ill keep ya'll posted. 

So now, its just a waiting game.  OOOHHHH and guess what.  I have started my first steps into becoming a professional photographer!  I am taking courses with New York Institute of Photography-NYIP.  I've just really started but I cant wait to learn more.  So far its been very interesting.  This is something that I have been wanting to do, photography that is, since I was a kid.  I remember my first camera.  I got it in a kid meal from BK.  One of those manual wind cameras that were as small as the palm of your hand.  The film size was 110.  I took pictures like I was already a pro!  Well at least I thought I was taking pics like a pro...kids...I know...when your 10 you think your an adult! 

So yeah...I've been busy, but I want to get back into the swing of things.  My husband moved me into the garage or "THE SWEAT SHOP".  Heck that garage gets super hot I dont want to be in there to sew!  It gets about 110 here in TEXAS well at least in my part of TEXAS and that garage is no fun when the days are that hot.  So that's pretty much it.  I hope you enjoy the new layout of the blog.  I have simplified things.  I have catagorized the blogs I frequent to the left. I also added some music enjoyment for your pleasure, while you read.  You can pretty much guarantee that Im also jammin out!  Heck Im SINGING...its what I do!!! HAHAHA...well, its about 2:30 am now...and I need to get up early for church because...well I actually sing, I really do sing, and I wont get up if I dont sleep RIGHT NOW!

Braniac Child!

So yesterday, last night actually, I was feeling all sick, bumbed out, blah blah blah...you know allergies! My daughter Erykah comes to me and asks me if she did a works sheet right from one of my medical books.  I was confused, why was she doing my work sheets. I mean I’m not using them anymore that’s fine but it was interesting to me that she just picked up my medical book, the workbook that goes with it and started reading and working it out.  Then she said she read the material, studied the charts and graphics the proceeded to fill them out.  I asked "did you have help from the book or did you just fill it out" she said and I think I heard "I just filled it out, its easy" I look at the diagram and its the anatomy of the HEART!!!!  She is naming the vena cava, the arch, the pulmonary artery and all that other stuff that I never got to!  I was blown away, to say the least!  This girl, is something else.  I mean she is, well I don’t know what word would describe her.  She certainly has her daddy’s brains because my smarts are no good!! LOL..Marty is a walking brain, I mean he has photographic memory, he learns through osmosis!!!  Just picks up a book, doesn’t even crack it open, all the wealth of information a book has just is sucked in through his fingers, she has that too!!!  This kid, Erykah, has told me she wants to be a doctor, a OB/GYN in fact.  I guess shes off to a good start!

Happy Easter!

I hope everyone had a Great EASTER Holiday!!!  We had loads of fun.  We were at our cousins ranch and the girls jumped around on the trampoline, they drove around on the Golf Carts and EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE had fun breaking cascarones-confetti filled eggs-over peoples heads!!!  Some found their way down shirts and pants! It was a mad house, one I avoided by staying inside, so I didn't have to pick through my hair to pull out broken parts of egg shells, confetti, and colorful foil confetti.  There was steaks, fajitas, and so much more and a cousin of my cousin brought 2 very delicious Easter cakes!!! Then it was time for the easter egg hunt.  What we do is we put change in each egg, shiny eggs had a dollar bill, maybe a five...then there was the GOLDEN EGG, that contained a 20.00 bill!!!  My girls didnt get that one, but Monikah got an egg with a 5.00 bill and some with ones loads of change and so forth, a lot of candy too! Well, I wanted to show you some pics but I have a new computer and I dont have my Paint Shop Pro to resize my pics...so it will have to wait.  Well, GOD Bless all of ya! Spoiled Cat

I love our cat...her name is Luna.  We adopted her sometime late summer last year.  Every now and then she tries to make a run for it out the door when we have the doors open.  Then there are times like the following pictures that make me wonder if she is thinking "NOW WHY WOULD I RUN AWAY?"

I tell you...this cat is so spoiled...she has us wrapped around her little twinkle paws!

Hi everyone...Im Priscilla Resendez...owner and designer for Rosa Dolce Designs.  I am the wife to a very big hearted, loving, GORGEOUS man Martin and am a mom of 4 very beautiful Military brats, ages 10-5.  Yes, we were military from 1997-2005.  We are looking forward to going back after Martin graduates with his BA next year!

I am a bit spunky and spicy...its to make up for the lake of height I have...Im a short 5'2".  I love to sew sew sew, and scrapbook.  My two older girls Rebekah and Erykah are both cheerleaders for a company here in Texas called Texas Gems!  We love to sing it up..here is a small video of my oldest daughter signing her favorite song..."Im Here for the Party!" by Gretchen Wilson

Very fitting for a blog party huh?  Yes we do love country we are from Texas! LOL...no we dont ride horses everywhere...but we do love them, at least this family does. My husband plays the guitar, we both sing at our church and our girls are our back vocalists.

Such a good movie...

You know your weekend isnt going to be to well, when you are at the movies, killing time until the kids get out of school when you get that call from DH saying "HUNN, I need you to pick up our daughter...shes thrown up!"  GRRRR and Im watching a moive after another blogger I love to read says this movie is great....what movie?  27 Dresses, yes I was in about the middle of the movie when I get that call.  So I had to leave.  OH well duty called and I have to suck it up and move on right?  Well not quite...I called DH back and told him that because he didnt go pick  her up himslef (he could have he just thought I should do it) that he now HAD TO come and watch a CHICK FLICK with me with absolutley no COMPLAINTS ABOUT IT!!!  He grunted and agreed.  So now I will watch it, with DH in tow...and he cant say a...single...thing...about...it!!! HA HA HA HA HA (singing it as childish as possible) Ok back to mommihood...cleaning the snot, and tears. 

Sinking low!

I never really worried about my identity being stolen.  Hey they take one look at my score and they probrably toss my information out the door!  I dont have good credit so even though that doesnt sound so good financially, I think I dont have to worry.   However today my eyes were opened up by a simple comercial.  Did I say comercial? Yes...a comercail.  Did you know that 500,000 children have their identities stolen?  That beautiful child sleeping in their beds at night so sweet and angelic, someone could have gotten a hold of their information, and are now haveing  a feild day with their name!  HOW LOW HUH?!  To take an inoccent childs name and ruin them before they even start to live life! So that freaked me out, and got me thinking.  My husband once answered the phone and the operator asked to talk to my 4 year old,

Operator:"May I please speak to Jesykah Resendez?" 

Hubby:" No you may not who is this?"

Operator:" This is a personal matter and I can only speak to Jesykah Resendez about this"

Hubby:" Well Im sorry but I am jesykahs father, how can I help you?"

Operator:" Im sorry sir this is a personal matter is jeyskah Home?"

Hubby:"Yes she is, but you may not speak with her"

Operator:" Sir this is a call to collect debt and I need to talk to her"

Hubby:"collect debt???  how can a four year old accumilate debt?"

Operator:"Excuse me sir?"

Hubby:"HOW DOES A FOUR YEAR OLD HAVE DEBT???!!!" (he yellled at her)

Operator:"Jesykah is four years old? Oh, Im sorry sir, this is a debt for a visit to the ER on xxxx. "

So you see the person who admitted Jeyskah at the hospital that one day to the ER, but the bill on her name...A FOUR YEAR OLDS NAME!!! How could they, they had my husband infor, they had my info, but no they messed up and now my daughter OWES the hospital!!!???  Go figure!?  LOL...so yes we paid it but that just showed me that there are idiots out ther and there are people without souls who will do anything to get "free" money even steal a childs identity. Why a child? My guess is because there are very few adults who have prestine credit, who better than a child who has no credit?

So how to prevent it...aahhh that where the commerical comes in.  There is a place where you can enroll your childs information.  Anytime something happens with your childs information they let you know.  I have enrolled, you should enroll.  Here is the link  http://www.familysecure.com/Default.aspx

dont wait...those low life scums are out there.  They can get your childs information at school, when you apply for insurance and so forth.  Be one step ahead.
